Resident Honored

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray (second left) presented Garden City resident Joanna Piazzini with a Distinguished Service Pin in recognition of 25 years of service with town. Piazzini works in the Department of Senior Enrichment. More than 30 town employees from multiple departments were recognized at a special ceremony. Supervisor Murray, who is the sixth supervisor these employees have served under, noted that the honorees represented more than a million hours of public service.
