Runoff Election To Be Held Tuesday, January 30th

The Property Owners' Association of Garden City Estates held its annual Electors' Meeting on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 8PM in Stratford School Auditorium. At that meeting, the 15 Member Nominating Committee presented to the residents their nominees for the following Trustee positions.

School Board Trustee: Colleen Foley 54 Kilburn Road (3 yr term commencing May 2007).

Village Board Trustee - John DeMaro 84 Wellington Road (2 yr term commencing April 2007).

At that same meeting, residents of the Estates Section responded to a request for any challenges by submitting a challenge nominee:

For Village Board Trustee: Incumbent Estates Trustee Rob Rothschild 124 Salisbury Rd (2 yr term commencing April 2007).

As a result of the events of this meeting, a runoff election will be held between John DeMaro and Rob Rothschild for Village Board Trustee on January 30, 2007 at Garden City High School from 4PM to 9PM. All residents of the Estates Section of the Village (18 years of age or older) are eligible to vote. Please be sure to vote on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 in this Estates Runoff Election for Village Trustee.

The winner of this runoff election will be the Estates Village Board Trustee candidate and will run for election on March 20, 2007 in the Village-wide Board of Trustees Election.

Colleen Foley is the Estates School Board Trustee candidate and will run for election on May 15, 2007 in the Village-wide School Board Election.
