Dean Rutz and Karen Ducey Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth P. Ducey of Garden City and East Quogue are very happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Marie to Dean Rutz, son of Mr. & Mrs. Martin Rutz of Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Karen is a graduate of the Garden City High School Class of 1981. She received a B.S. Degree from the University of Wisconson-Madison and attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She is currently employed as a photojournalist at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Karen is the granddaughter of the late Marie Anziano Bell and Louis P. Anziano of Garden City.

Dean is a graduate of Indiana University and is presently employed as a photojournalist with the Seattle Times. He has represented his newspaper for many years in covering both the winter and summer olympic games around the world.

This is a first marriage for both Karen and Dean. The wedding will be held in Seattle in June 2008.
