On Wednesday, November 28th, the Garden City PTA is hosting a "Town Hall Meeting" with Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Robert Feirsen. This event will begin at 7:30 pm in the Garden City High School library, immediately following the scheduled general PTA meeting at 7:00 pm. All parents and residents are invited to attend. More ... 7:30 PM - High School Auditorium Garden City High School will host an orientation for parents of 8th grade students on Monday, December 3rd. This program is intended for parents of current Garden City Middle School students as well as parents who reside in the school district and have 8th graders in other schools. More ... Students Helping Students, is a select leadership program consisting of students in grades 10 through 12 at the Garden City High School, who work to spread tolerance among the student bodies in all the Garden City Schools. We try to help kids recognize the many forms of harassment and to teach stu-dents how to be compassionate and understanding with one another. More ... On Halloween Day, the Early Childhood students wore their Halloween best to school and treated the rest of the school to a Halloween parade. The weather was beautiful and the mood was very festive. The first, second and third graders wore silly hats and and the whole school turned out to cheer them all on. More ... Homestead School Principal Dr. Suzanne Viscovich, dressed as Cruela Devil, leads the kindergarten and first grade parade down Stratford Avenue. More ... Cathedral Nursery School took their science studies on the road this month with a trip to Schmitt's Pumpkin Farm in Melville on October 16th.
