Now that Thanksgiving is over, let the Christmas shopping begin! At least that is the hope of retailers everywhere. As anyone can tell by venturing out of the boundaries of Garden City, the huge and growing shopping areas to the east of the Village are drawing shoppers (and their cars) from across the region to clog our local roads. (And that's before adding the development which is proposed for the Nassau Coliseum area.)

Our suggestion to shoppers: Shop Garden City first. Not only will you be supporting the merchants that support our community, you will also save yourself the aggravation of waiting in traffic and you will be doing your part to save the environment by wasting less of the $3 a gallon gas in your tank.
