      Now that Thanksgiving is over, let the Christmas shopping begin! At least that is the hope of retailers everywhere. As anyone can tell by venturing out of the boundaries of Garden City, the huge and growing shopping areas to the east of the Village are drawing shoppers (and their cars) from across the region to clog our local roads.

      Not "Too Complicated" To the Editor: The residents of Garden City pay a Village tax and a separate School tax. In June 2006 an article appeared in this newspaper in which the Garden City school district advised that more classroom space is needed and that GC residents will need to pay for this.
