Treats Galore At Resurrection's Hallowed Eve Party
Resurrection's Hallowed Eve festivities invited children to make crafts. Over 150 people-children and their families-joined in the games, crafts and fun at the recent "Hallowed Eve Party," hosted by Resurrection Lutheran Church. Nathan Erb, Director of Christian Education described the annual event. "The Hallowed Eve party is a community event, whose purpose is simply to have fun around Halloween. We realize that Halloween means different things to different people, but we try to provide some fun and safe activities, and best of all, get lots of candy." Included in the program was a puppet show, designed to provide not only entertainment, but also provide a message to children and families. "This year we learned that it isn't nice to pick on other people just because they like something you don't," Erb said. "We learned that God loves everybody, regardless of their differences, and we should do the same."
Resurrection is a multi-site Christian community of faith. All are invited to worship at 5:30 PM on Saturdays and at 8:30 and 11 AM Sunday mornings, with Christian Education at 9:45 AM at the 420 Stewart Avenue location in Garden City.
