The Recreation Adult Programs in the Field House begin on Tuesday, October 9 th, according to the following schedule:

yoga classes begin again

Our fall session of yoga has started. Connie McKnight, our certified yoga instructor, has designed classes with all ages in mind. Each 12-week course will cost $60 and each class is 55 minutes long. All classes are held in Cluett Hall at St. Paul's. Any resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City is invited to join these relaxing classes. The course schedule is as follows:

intramural match play

The Garden City Recreation Department's Tennis Staff will offer an Open House of our Junior Round Robin Tennis Program on Sunday, October 14 th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Community Park's Tennis Facility.

The Recreation Department's Round Robin Tennis Program is a Junior League Intraclub Program for children ages 9-18. This program offers competitive match play formatted to fit each child's playing level.

The league is organized by age and playing ability. Interested children MUST be able to serve for the baseline, sustain a slow paced rally, keep score unassisted and have an understanding of the rules of tennis.

This program will be minimally supervised during match play. The matches will be set up by our teaching staff. All matches will be held on Sundays between 2 and 4 p.m. The league will begin on Sunday, October 21st.

If you choose to participate in this league, the cost of the 9 week program will be $160.

adult dance classes at cluett hall

Our fall session of Adult Dance classes, taught by Felicia Lovaglio, will begin the week of October 1 st. This program is open to adults who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City. The following classes are offered:

Tuesdays beginning October 2 nd at 9:30 a.m. Stretch and Tone

Tuesdays beginning October 16th at 8 p.m. Jazz

Tuesdays beginning October 16th at 7 p.m. Ballet

Thursdays beginning October 4 th at 9:30 a.m. Stretch and Tone

To register for these programs, please fill out the registration form and mail it with payment to the Garden City Recreation Dept. at 351 Stewart Avenue.
