John Wotczak makes an awesome interception and takes off for a touchdown, escorted by Jaimie Atkinson and Michael DeSanti, who have his back. Their hard work during the hot days of August training is paying off, as the Thunder 9's White team are currently undefeated in their league. Kicking off their season with a 20-0 victory over the Bellmore Braves, the players showed their passion and skill for the game. They executed the rehearsed plays under pressure, in the game, when it mattered. Scoring on the first offensive run of the drive of their season has clearly set the tone for the fall.

The following week, Thunder welcomed Franklin Square to their turf. Once again, the offense marched down the field and scored on their first posses-sion. The defense delivered with an interception leading to a touchdown; and, they are credited with holding the score to a 19-0 final win.

Last week, they faced Hicksville where, once again, the offense operated like a well-oiled machine scoring on smart plays and long runs, while excellent downfield blocking supported their efforts. Hicksville was determined to score and did not give up. In the second half, Thunder held their ground at the two yard line without relinquishing a touchdown, securing a 14-0 win.

Nicholas Jones, James Ostrowski, Peter McCarthy, and Dominick Avitabile size up their opponents....no problem! Coaches John Knowles, Kevin Guarino, Chuck Lucchesi, Jaimie Atkinson and Steve Chmil are extremely proud of the boys' teamwork and accomplishments to date.... Go Thunder!

Sean Knowles makes the block, as Joe Philippas covers the backfield - enabling Joe Capetola to sneak through the opponents. Safety Conor Lehan serves as anchor at the goal line, as Philip Puccio, Joe King, Dan De Simpliciis, Capetola, and the entire defensive team deny their opponents a walk into the end zone. Quarterback Matt Chmil launches the ball to Sam Lucchesi, who completes the pass.
