Massapequa was last year's Nassau County Class A champion, while Garden City was the Nassau Class B champion that went on to win the New York State title. Eleni Andromidas opened up the scoring for the Trojans, followed by Lauren Terracciano who scored the next two goals. Going into the half, Garden City led by a score of 3-1 but the Chiefs were able to close the gap with another goal, five minutes into the second half.

That goal was the last that Massapequa would score, as Garden City went on to win 5-2 after Andromidas scored on a penalty stroke for her second goal of the game and Kaila McDonnell scored one more. Goalkeeper Sis Gurskis had 3 saves during the game. The team will play at home against Manhasset on Tuesday October 2nd at 4:30pm.
