St. Anne's "Spirit Day" Set For September 15

A display of "Pix From the Past" in the entrance to Saint Anne's Church is reminding parishioners that the Fifth Anniversary of their "Spirit Day" spectacular is on its way for arrival and opening at church grounds (Dartmouth St. & New Hyde Park Road) on Saturday, September 15 from 1 to 10 P.M. Some of the pictures from the display are below.

"Spirit Day, 2007" boasts of live music: a DJ all day and a live band all evening (featuring "Midnight Express"). It has basketball contests, a dunk tank and all new Respite games. A Fall plant sale and Craft Fair. New and exciting inflatable rides, a Night at the Races,a Teen Night Club. Great food, at popular prices, is available all day long.

Finally, it features "Big Bucks Bonanza" a dramatic drawing for $50,000 in prizes. Only 800 tickets--a t $125 each-- are sold. If all tickets are sold the parish will win $50,000 to fund the design and furnishing of a Chapel in memory of Monsignor Costello. If fewer than 800 tickets are sold,the prize pool will be 50% of the total amount raised, with the prize levels and the funding of the Memorial Chapel decreased proportionally. The drawing will take place at "Spirit Day" after 10 P.M. Please call Saint Anne's Rectory, 516-352-5904 to request a "Big Bucks" entry form.
