Chamber To Stage Fall Festival Street Fair

Two kiddy trains will be at the Fall Festival Street FairTwo kiddy trains will be at the Fall Festival Street Fair The Garden City Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 28th annual Fall Festival Street Fair to be held on September 29 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Seventh Street. As is tradition, there will be rides and activities for the youngsters including two trackless kiddy trains to run up and down Seventh Street plus the ever-popular money cube, carnival games and more.

Member businesses and community organizations who register with the Chamber will be showcased on Seventh Street between Franklin and Hilton Avenues, which will be closed to vehicular traffic between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Adding to the festivities will be Garden City High School's Homecoming Day Parade to step off on Seventh Street at 12:30 p.m.

A fabulous added feature this year will be a singing competition for contestants ages 12 to 18 who are Garden City residents. The winner will be named "Garden City Idol". Kevin Covais of American Idol fame will serve as celebrity judge. Details on how to register as a contestant, along with other event details, will be pub-lished in an upcoming issue of The
