The Power took the field, trying to maintain their undefeated season against this opponent. Rockville Centre was able to score two quick goals against the Power, to take the lead early in the first half. The Power banded together to come from behind against a strong Rockville Centre defense. Garden City's offense put heavy pressure on the Rockville Centre goal and was finally rewarded with a score late in the first half. Down by only one goal, the Power started the second half with renewed energy. Rockville Centre vigilantly protected their lead against the more highly ranked Power team, thwarting Garden City's attempts to tie the score. The Garden City defense concentrated on deflecting shots from the Power goal and prevented any further score. Time ran out on the Power, giving them their first loss in a highly successful and exciting season.
