Garden City Girls U11 Team It was an exciting start for the GC girls U11 team. The first game was against the home team Brentwood, which the GC team won 2-0. The second team was against Brentwood Select, which was a very competitive game with Brentwood scoring first, but GC came right back to tie the game at 1-1 and that was the final score. The team's last game was against a West Islip's travel team. This game was also very competitive because GC was playing a travel team, but GC came back with another win 2-0. Everybody contributed to the team and gave it 110%. The team included Bridget Bingham, Sarah Biscardi, Michelle Campoli, Lizzie Chester, Amanda D'Antone, Marianna Doyamis, Caroline Ferri, Taylor George, Laura Jaeger, Fiona McLeod, Ashley Nessler, Antonia Palmeri, Morgayne Rix, Allison Schmidt and Jamie Silk. The team was coached by Fred Schmidt, Denise Palmeri and Bruce Chester.

At the end of the day, the U11 teams gathered together for the standings. The coordinator started to say the standings. In fourth place we have Brentwood. In third place we have West Islip. The coordinator then said we have a tie for first place with GC and Brentwood Select. Since there was no more time to play another game, first place was decided by how many goals were given up from each team. GC had 1 goal given up and Brentwood Select had 3 goals given up. That meant GC was in first place and Brentwood Select took second place. GC takes the gold, the first place trophy.
