Garden City Connie Mach Team 2007 Several years ago a baseball team was formed under the managerial leadership of Mike Derle. The first accomplishment of this young team was their recognition as District 29 Champions as 12 year old boys in 2002 and then Connie Mack U-16 team League Champions in 2006 while posting a 17-1 record.

As the years moved on a majority of the players have continued to play baseball at the High School level. On this year's team several players were on the 2007 Conference A-1 Championship Team managed by varsity coach Richie Smith (recently named Conference A-1 High School Coach of the Year).
