Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2006-07 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition. They include the following Garden City residents:

Jeffrey A. Greco , son of Richard and Donna Greco, and a 2006 graduate of Garden City H S.

Nicole M. Holbrook , daughter of Harold and Linda Holbrook, and a 2003 graduate of Garden City H S..

Cynthia A. Koncick , daughter of Susan Walsh, and a 2003 graduate of Garden City H S.

Emily R. Mancusi , daughter of Vincent and Marian Mancusi, and a 2004 graduate of Garden City H S.

Catherine M. Trentacoste , daughter of Joseph and Elaine Trentacoste, and a 2003 graduate of Garden City H S.

A Garden City student was among the 550 graduates awarded diplomas at Denison University's 166th commencement held May 13. Those awarded bachelor's degrees from Denison by President Dale T. Knobel include:

Christopher John Hucke , son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Hucke of Garden City

Hucke, a graduate of Garden City Senior High School, earned a bachelor of arts degree with a political science major. Hucke played on the varsity football team and is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Christina Anne Bach of Garden City, a classics major, recently graduated from Skidmore College.

The college awarded 600 bachelor's degrees and 10 master of arts in liberal studies degrees at their 96 th commencement held on May 19 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. An additional 48 bachelor's degrees were awarded through Skidmore's University Without Walls external degree program.
