Mayor Peter Bee received a framed certificate of appreciation from Maureen Clancy, past Chamber president, as current president Roger Eltringham looks on. At the Garden City Chamber's season finale luncheon at the Garden City Hotel on May 16, Mayor Peter A. Bee spoke to a packed room of Chamber members and guests about issues in and around Garden City that will impact both the business and residential communities.
"Garden City is in great shape "he said." It is a place where over 21,000 residents are proud to live and where merchants are regaining their reputation for "destination downtown shopping. Plus, it has increasingly become a location for national financial institutions."
The Mayor added: "The Village has thrived on a partnership between its residential and business communities. A well-maintained village attracts commerce. As a well-maintained commercial district, it is an asset to be prized by the residential community."
