Jillian Gregory clears the ball The Garden City Power U-10 girl's soccer team enjoyed its fourth shut out of the season this past week end against East Meadow. The Power have played impressive defense, allowing only five goals this season. Saturday's game against East Meadow was no different, with Garden City repeatedly thwarting East Meadow's approach to the goal and forcing the ball deep into East Meadow's end. The Power goalies have continuously awed the crowd with their impressive saves. East Meadow put up a strong defense against the Power and both teams went scoreless into the second half. Garden City was finally able to put one past the East Meadow goalie, giving them a thrilling 1-0 win. Garden City hopes to advance to first place in the division this Saturday, playing away against Rockville Centre. Go Power!
