In juried competition held in conjunction with the Floral Park Art League's 51st Annual Spring Art Show and Sale the Best-In-Show award was presented to Lillian Forziat of Garden City for her original oil painting entitled Cherry Blossoms and Tapestry. Ms. Forziat, a member of Oil Painters of America, the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, currently has several of her pieces on display at the Sunflower Fine Art Gallery in Garden City and The Christopher Gallery in Stony Brook. First place went to Mario Tucci's oil painting Portrait of Dorothea. Second place went to Maryweld Luhrs oil painting Daisies. Third place went to Yvonne Syracuse for her watercolor Apples and Basket. Honorable mention awards were presented to; Teresa Musolino for her watercolor Through the Trees, Rose Don for her oil painting Covered Wagon, Don Zwerling for his watercolor Awe and Wonder, Linda DeRosa for her watercolor Mother and Child, and Patricia Lee for her watercolor Paper Roses.
