The Bird Sanctuary is located opposite 181 Tanners Pond Road in the northwestern part of Garden City. Bobby has rescued and nursed back to health a variety of injured and abandoned animals including a bald eagle, falcons, an osprey (Nassau County's Official Bird) as well as foxes, racoons, and even a large "cat". It will be an action packed afternoon. Betsy will be on hand to receive the Garden City Bird Sanctuary's 2007 Environmental Stewardship Award.
