The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Holtsville man on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 10:45 p.m.

According to detectives, approximately two weeks ago, the defendant, Henry J. Groppe Jr., 34, of 170 4th Avenue placed an ad on the Internet using Craig's List looking for females to exchange drugs for fun. this ad was answered by an undercover Garden City Police Officer posing as a sixteen-year-old female. After exchanging e-mails and text messages, the defendant arranged to meet the person he thought was a sixteen year old female and her fifteen year old female friend in Garden City to exchange cocaine for a variety of sex acts. When the defendant arrived at Garden City parking lot for the meeting, he was arrested by Garden City Police without incident. After the arrest and the subsequent search. the defendant was found to be in possession of two plastic bags containing a substance believed to be cocaine.

Groppe was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Substance With Intent to Sell, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Patronizing a Prostitute.
