Howard D. Noble died May 30th in Sarasota, FL. Born in Brooklyn, New York, July 21, 1909, he was Executive Vice President and Principal of Mutual Buying Syndicate. He and his deceased wife Bertha Burpee of Saratoga Springs, NY raised their family in Garden City. He served the community as a volunteer fireman. More ... Robert J. Rohrbach, former treasurer and vice president of the Daily News, died on May 11th at his home in Garden City. Mr. Rohrbach, a native of Flat River, Mo., graduated cum laude from Notre Dame with a degree in business and went on to work in accounting at the Chicago Tribune. More ...
