Kristen Adams keeps ahead of the opposition The Garden City Power U-10 girl's soccer team played an exciting match againstWantaghthis Saturday. The Power put forth a solid defensive effort throughout the game, demonstrating good ball control and some well executed passing. The Power defense worked together to drive the ball out of their end. The Power goalies dazzled the crowd with some awesome saves. Garden City was rewarded for their hard work with a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half.Wantaghcontinued its strong effort to score in the second half but the Power denied them by executing some amazing defensive moves in front of the goal. Garden City did not let up on their drive to theWantaghgoal, scoring on a kick that banked off the post and into the net. The Power goalie focused on protecting the net to the end. This spirited team performance earned the Garden City Power their second shut out in a row.
