Named As National Coca-Cola Scholar
      Matthew Colantonio, an exceptional senior at Chaminade High School in Mineola, has been recognized as one of the country's most outstanding high school seniors by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and has been awarded a $20,000 National Coca-Cola Scholarship for college.

Barry Tech Students Score Big
      The Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career and Technical Education Center (Barry Tech) was well represented recently during the SkillsUSA State Competition in Syracuse, New York. Fifteen students brought home top awards in a variety of categories ranging from graphic design and police science to nurse assisting and physical therapy aide.

Textbook Returns Underway
      The textbook room will be open during June, July, and August to receive returned textbooks from Garden City School District students enrolled in private schools. The textbook room is located in the basement of the Administration Building at 56 Cathedral Avenue. It will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
