David Laufer and Katie McDermott Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. McDermott of Garden City and Mattituck, NY are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie to David M. Laufer the son of Jeanne and Gerald Laufer of Northport, NY.

Katie is a graduate of Garden City High School and Salve Regina University in Newport, RI.

She is currently employed at Cantor Fitzgerald eSpeed in New York.

David is a graduate of Cold Spring Harbor High School in Cold Spring Harbor, NY and a graduate of Denison University in Granville, OH. He is a trader at the Bank of Montreal in New York.
