Silke Karen Parl and Charles Bole Douglas Mrs. Joan Douglas Gordon of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, formerly of Garden City, announces the engagement of her son, Charles Bole Douglas, Jr. to Silke Karen Parl daughter of Mrs. Gilla Parl of St. Augustine, Florida and Dr. Eike Parl of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The prospective groom is the son of the late Charles Bole Douglas.

The future bride graduated from Illinois School of Professional Psychology where she received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is Director of Mental Health Services at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. The future bridegroom graduated from Garden City High School in 1980 and from Pennsylvania State University in 1984. He has been a Residential Real Estate Appraiser for the past 14 years.

A June wedding is planned in Ponte Vedra Beach.
