This Sunday, May 6 at 9:15 a.m., Dr. Victor Ayala will speak on Malawi and HIV Aids Pandemic in Africa. He earned his doctorate in sociology for research on how ill homeless people were treated and mistreated at one of the large public hospitals in Brooklyn. He has taught sociology and human services courses at NY City College of Technology-CUNY and has become Academic Dean at that college. His forum presentation will be on the nation of Malawi in South Central Africa. Dr. Ayala was recently sent to Malawi by a health care foundation to help plan for more effective campaigns against the HIV/AIDS pandemic in that nation.
