The kitchen is the heart of every home, where friends and family join to share laughter, conversation and a delicious meal. On Wednesday, June 6th , the Garden City Unit of the American Cancer Society welcomes you to enjoy their Kitchen Tour, held just once every other year. The kitchens on tour this year reflect elegance, charm and comfort, and allow the love of family and entertainment to flourish.

Please join us first for breakfast between 9 and 11 a.m. which is being hosted by the beautifully renovated Garden City Country Club. Then there are five spectacular kitchens to see during the tour hours of 10 a.m . and 2 p.m. To refresh you, we are bringing back an old tradition of the Kitchen Tour: lemonade and cookies in a magnificently landscaped English garden. Finally, don't forget to visit Garden City's own Viking Cooking School at Loaves and Fishes Cookshop on June 6th. They have generously agreed to host tour attendees for cooking demonstrations in their theater-style kitchen, and will offer discounts on their classes and most merchandise. The invitations will be mailed soon, and more details of the beautiful kitchens on tour and the wonderful prizes to win will appear in the "Garden City News."
