Photo by Newsphoto.com On April 11th Garden City's boys varsity lacrosse team met Division in a Conference II game. By the end of the first half Garden City was up by a score of 16-3. Dillon Dwyer scored six goals, Dean Gibbons had four goals and two assists and Terry Kennedy had a goal and three assists. Other Garden City scorers were Joe Alleva 2, Jon Muscarella 2, Will Manning, Kevin Rose, Francis McDonough, Brendan Carroll and Matt Losardo, bringing the final score to 20-6. Goalkeeper Brian McCullough made seven saves and Peter Costello had four.

Three days later on Saturday night April 14th the Trojans traveled to Cold Spring Harbor for a non league game against the CSH Seahawks. As the first half came to a close, Garden City was trailing by a score of 5-4. Thanks to a fourth quarter rally, the Trojans were able to end the game in a 9-9 tie and send the game into overtime. Goalkeeper Brian McCullough had a busy night, making 15 saves. Dean Gibbons, Dillon Dwyer, Tim Harder and Dan Savage had scored earlier in the game and it was Francis McDonough who scored with 2:05 left in overtime to give Garden City the 10-9 victory.
