The Varsity Baseball Team split two Conference Crossover Contests and won a non-league game this past week. The Trojans are 4-2 overall (3-2 Conference).

Island Trees-11

The Bulldog Bab exploded early to give them an 8-0 lead after 2 innings of play.

GC was limited to two hits, both by Junior Bob Fargnoli. Fargnoli broke up a no-hit bid with a lead off home run in the fifth inning.

Garden City-18

Great Neck North-4

Junior Colin Ridgway improved to 2-0 on the mound. The Trojans collected 13 hits. Senior Rob Finneran had 2 home runs with 4 RBI's Kevin Volpe went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI's. Kyle Boelsen hit his first Varsity home run.

Garden City-12

Senior Ryan Maloney got his first win of the season. Junior Pat Sylvester pitched 2 2/3 innings of Shut Out Ball.

The Trojans took a 4-0 lead in the 3 rd inning. Matt Emmert had a 2 run single followed by Rob Finneran's 2 run home run. Finneran has 4 homers this season.

The offense was led by Matt Emmert (4 for 4, 4 RBI's) and Ryan Sweeney (3 for 4). Kevin Volpe and Sylvester had 2 hits each.
