Harry Furey's shot on goal is scooped up
On Saturday, April 14th, the Garden City U10 Destroyers lost their game in the Sweet 16 Round of the Waldbaum Cup to the Hempstead Eagles. Unfortunately, it was the first blemish of the year. The Destroyers managed to put one point on the board in their 8-1 loss. Conor Sproat scored on a penalty kick after Christopher Gormley was slide tackled in the box from behind. Harry Furey played tough throughout the game and tried to challenge his opponents at every turn of the ball. Although the Destroyers put forth a great effort, the boys left the field exhausted. Next week, they face the Oyster Bay Fusion, away. Good luck & play hard!
