2007-04-06 / Front Page

The Eastern Property Owners' Association Inc. (EPOA) is seeking qualified candidates to server as Officers and Directors for the 2007-2008 term. Successful candidates will be elected at the June 4th EPOA public meeting and will begin their term at our September 2007 meeting.

Serving on the EPOA board is an exciting way to become actively involved in the issues that face all residents who live in our Village. It is your way to become involved in the debate and discussions of issues such as the St. Paul's historic building, development issues at Ring Road property near Roosevelt Field and projects throughout the Village, especially in the Eastern section, the potential Nassau Hub development and its associated impact on the Village, as well as a host of other topics. Candidates do not need any particular background or experience in civic affairs, just the desire to become involved in Village issues and an interest in becoming part of the process for preserving and improving our wonderful Village.

The Property Owners Association is an exciting entry point into our political process of the Village. If you feel you can volunteer your time and have an interest in the future of Garden City, join the many hard working volunteers who serve this Village, and consider becoming a member of the EPOA Board of Directors.

Candidates for Officers and Directors will be interviewed by the 7 Member nominating Committee of the EPOA. Interested candidates should forward their forward their resume or contact information to the Secretary of the EPOA, Allison Sparicino, at 32 Claydon Rd Garden City NY 11530 or email at AMCOHS@aol.com. Remember, there can only be "Progress through Participation".
