Upcoming Music Events At Adelphi
Adelphi University is pleased to offer an array of free music concerts featuring outstanding student performers and guest artists. All events are held in Adelphi University's Ruth S. Harley University Center Ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, in March through May 2007, unless noted otherwise.
Trio Solisti: Red Hot

Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at 7:30 p.m.
The final Trio Solisti concert of the season includes a version of Arnold Schoenberg's romantic and captivating Transfigured Night arranged by Jean Louis Steuerman and John Corigliano's Red Violin. The evening will also be graced with performances by Felix Mendelssohn and Adelphi Paul Moravec. A pre-concert lecture will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Adelphi University Symphony Orchestra
Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 8:00 p.m.
A special concert presented at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City, featuring Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat, Arvo Pärt's Tabula Rasa with violinists Boris Corchesco and Djeina Haruta, Christopher Lyndon-Gee's 2003 Music for String Orchestra, and Alfred Schnittke's Concerto Grosso No. 1. Adelphi also welcomes soloists Oleksand'r Abayev and Alexander Brussilowsky.
