Celebrate With The Kennedys At UU Congregation
The road-trip continues as The Kennedys invite you to Garden Stage at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau on Friday April 6, 2007 to celebrate their tour in support of their ninth CD release, "Songs of the Open Road" on Appleseed Recordings. A brilliantly fused mix of Pete and Maura Kennedy's favorite roadworthy classics and lesser-known gems, from roots rock to soulful acoustic pop. These gypsies of the road salute all genres past and present, imprinting each song with their tuneful and uplifting style.
With its wide assortment of source material, delicate thematic threads, and sparkling vocals and arrangements, "Songs of the Open Road" can't fail to expand The Kennedys' reputation as imaginative and joyful musicians, conceptualists and "a positive force on all things human" (Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange).
The concert will be on Friday April 6, at the UU Congregation of Central Nassau, 223 Stewart Avenue, Garden City. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., showtime is at 8 p.m.
