As we close out the year 2006, we would like to wish our readers a Happy New Year!

Although it has been so warm until now that it is hard to believe that we are really in winter, January does, in fact, start next week, and with it our hopes for the new year. It is a time of year when many people take stock of their lives and make resolutions for the next year. This is a fine time to start new health regimens such as exercise and diet, or to resolve repair relationships that have fallen away. It’s a new start.

We were really glad to see that the prosecutor in the Duke case has finally dropped at least some of the charges. It flies in the face of reason that he has continued to pursue this case without any credible evidence whatsoever, and we hope the judge in the case does the right thing and tosses out the rest of the charges (not to mention sanctioning the DA for lying to him).
