Child Guidance Center Honors Paul Conte

South Shore Child Guidance Center held its inaugural "2006 Heroes from the Heart Gala" on Thursday, November 9, at Carlyle on the Green, Bethpage State Park, Bethpage, attracting nearly 200 guests for an evening of casino play and jazz music. The Center was proud to recognize Paul Conte, Garden City resident and founder of Conte Cadillac and Conte Chevrolet, with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his on going charitable contributions to the community.

The Gala, chaired by Louis J. Biscotti, managing partner and CEO, Biscotti Toback & Co, benefited the Center's continuing efforts to provide treatment programs to children and families in Nassau County. Mr. Biscotti's contagious enthusiasm was paramount to the success of the event. Special thank you to our two honorary co-chairs, Dot and Ed Slade, whose philanthropic reputation in the field of social work is growing by leaps and bounds.
