Basic Genealogy Research Workshop Garden City Public Library

Not sure how to start researching your U.S. relatives? This workshop will explain basic genealogy research skills, such as using databases to find U.S. Census records, getting copies of vital records (births, deaths, and marriages) where to find social security records and naturalization records and so much more. Each participant will receive a packet that includes hand-outs covering up to date information on genealogy web sites, genealogical societies, genealogy books and magazines, and genealogy software.
