The Garden City Boys U-10 soccer team "The Flames" finished an incredible soccer season with a sizzling win against the Plainedge Eagles in a 3 to 1 victory on Saturday December 2. Chris Koester kicked things off by scoring a goal in the opening minutes of the game, closely followed with a goal by Brett Alvarez. Flames goalies Chris Costigan and Bobby Clarke, supported by a great defense played by Billy Trimmer, Alex Franco and Connor Tariche, held the Eagles to only one goal. With awesome teamwork played by Greg Pahlavi, Luciano Migliori and Tim Collins, the Flames sealed the deal with a second goal by Chris Koester.

The GC Flames proudest achievement is that the boys quickly learned that working together as a team is the most important part of the game, in addition to further developing their skills throughout the season. The Flames and their families celebrated with an end of season party. Coaches Tom Trimmer, Bill Clarke and Rey Tariche are proud of the boys and their winning record, and the parents thank the coaches for their hard work and dedication. The team includes members: Brett Alvarez, Bobby Clarke, Tim Collins, Chris Costigan, Alex Franco, Brian Goulard, Chris Koester, Luciano Migliore, Gregory Pahlavi, Connor Tariche and Bill Trimmer.
