Christmas Music At Thursday Luncheon

George Petersen will bring us into the Christmas Season with special music on the piano and Abe Rivera will be the soloist. On Thursday, December 14 from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. in the parlor of the Garden City Community Church. Please bring a sandwich; the dessert and beverage will be provided by the hostesses Lynn Finnerty, Carol Schragel and Linda Wagner.

Mr. Petersen's interest in music began at the age of four when he studied drums with his father, a Dixieland and big band drummer. Mr. Petersen holds a B.A. degree in Philosophy and B.F.A. in music from the State University of New York.

He has taught at the Hartmann School of Music in Garden City South and is a freelance audio recording producer - engineer - editor and owns a professional recording studio. At the present time he is director of music at the First Presbyterian Church in Freeport.

The Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ. Worship services are Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with the church for children and a crib room for infants and toddlers at the later service.
