GC Rams Girl's Lacrosse, Middle School Lacrosse

As a reminder, girls in grades 7 and 8 who play on the Middle School team are also permitted to play in the Ram's program. On the 7th grade level, the division follows US Lacrosse Youth Rules which includes "Level A" modified checking. This year our 8th grade program will continue playing in a US Lacrosse approved pilot program, which permits full checking. The senior division, which plays in the Long Island Senior Girl's Youth Lacrosse League, is one of four leagues in the United States participating in the USL sanction program, permitting full checking on the 8th grade level.

GC Girl's Rams Lacrosse is a Travel Program

Please note that the GC Rams Girl's Lacrosse program is a highly competitive travel lacrosse program, open to grades 3 to 8, and requires both player and parent commitment. Attendance at practices is mandatory. The Lacrosse season officially starts on March 1 and ends on June 30. It is important for both parents and players to understand that signing up for GC Rams Girls Lacrosse is committing to making lacrosse their primary sport and GC Rams their primary team in lacrosse from the season. When participating in more than one travel sport, or lacrosse team, conflicts will occur. We ask that you consider this when registering you daughter to play for the GC Rams. While every effort is made to coordinate practice and game schedules with other sports programs, it is not always possible. Again, Lacrosse is a spring sport and we ask each participant to make it her priority sport for the season and GC Rams the priority team. Games are played on either Saturday or Sunday and practices are limited to two per week.
