The care packages will be delivered to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina at the US Marine Wounded Warrior Barracks and the US Navy Medical Center, in Bethesda, MD. Area Volunteer Firefighters will be delivering the items on December 8th and 9th.

Garden City Volunteer Firefighters will be collecting donations of the following items: letters/Christmas cards from home, DVD movies, sweatpants, gym shorts, T-shirts, quilts, blankets, travel size shaving gel, plastic razors, deodorant, toothpaste, patriotic Christmas ornaments, calling cards, chocolate, candy, pretzels, chips and cookies. Also, monetary donations can be made in order to offset the cost of gas, tolls & travel expenses incurred in the journey.

Care Package Items and donations can be delivered or sent to: the Garden City Volunteer Fire Department, Operation Wounded Warrior, 347 Stewart Ave, Garden City, New York, 11530 (Fire Headquarters, West Side Village Hall).
