Garden City Basketball Ramps Up!

We are still gladly accepting applications with no late fees.

We are proud to have almost 500 basketball loving children in our intramural program.

Coaches in each age group have finalized teams. Coaches, assistant coaches and other volunteers are always needed...if you haven't been contacted yet...please give us a call.

The intramural "game day tip off" begins on Saturday morning December 2nd. The program schedule currently is:

*8:00am to 9:00am - K,1st, & 2nd Grade Clinic

*9:00am to 10:00am - 3rd/4th Grade Girls

*10:00am to 11:00am - 5th Grade and higher Girls

*11:00am to noon - 3rd/4th Grade Boys

*Noon to 1:00pm - 5th/6th Grade Boys

The 7th/8th/9th grade Boys program, "Friday Night Lights", begins Friday December 1st at Stewart School running from 8pm-9:30pm.

To help ramp-up the season, we have scheduled the following clinics of skills and drills at St Paul's from 6:00pm to 7:30pm:

*Tues 11/28 - Boys clinic 5th and 6th Grade

*Tues 12/5 - Boys clinic 3rd & 4th Grade

*Tues 12/12 - Boys clinic 5th and 6th Grade

*Wed 12/20 - Girls clinic 3rd Grade and higher

An unbelievable "Speed, Agility, and Quickness" clinic was held at the Professional Athletic Performance Center this past Saturday. Due to the overwhelming response, we will have another round of these clinics in the spring. We have scheduled a coaches clinic Wednesday, November 29th at 6:30pm at the Professional Athletic Performance Center's state-of-art facility located at 645 Stewart Avenue. The "it is all about the kids" clinic focuses on injury prevention. Please call Dee at 516-794-FAST(3278) to make a reservation to attend.

We recommend you check out the Jump Start Foundation's 3-on-3 Thanksgiving Tournament held at the Island Garden. Information may be found at www.jumpstartfoundation.org for this charity event.
