Visit The Historical Society To See Your Bricks The Garden City Historical Society has received its latest shipment of inscribed bricks that will be placed in the pathway surrounding the Historical Society Museum's restored historic house on Eleventh Street. These bricks were purchased earlier this year by the following residents: Marie and Charles DeBenedittis, Biacaniello Family, deLaricheliere Family, George and Arlene Rath, Rosemarie Ducey, Margie O'Neill, the Priest Family, the O'Connell Family (Sheila, Jim, Susan, Maureen and Brian), Kelly and Chris Overbeck, the Griffin Family, Daniel and Helen Karas, Chiara, Annabella and Jimmy Sugrue, Pat and Bob Kaliban, Mary Jean and Arthur Anderson, Barry McCarraher, Sue Derian, William G. Connolly Family, and Kris and Frank Harder. The Historical Society's brick chairperson is now Marjorie Egan, an active member of the Society for the past few years, assisting with membership, the children's spring art contest and A.T. Stewart's Flea Market last June. The Society sincerely thanks longtime Board member Kris Harder, who started the brick campaign, for all her patience and diligence in getting our brick campaign up and running and seeing that each brick purchase is ordered and installed in the pathway, which wraps around the southeast corner of the museum. Anyone wishing to purchase bricks in memory or in honor of loved ones can call Marjorie at 741-8050 to place an order. These commemorative bricks also make wonderful, sentimental gifts during the holidays. Brick applications can be found at the Garden City Public Library, the Dougall Fraser Real Estate office on Seventh Street, and downloaded from our website at www.gardencityhistoricalsociety.org.
