AHRC Christmas Luncheon,Fashion Show

Lois Daily, last year's lucky winner of the I Love New York raffle, with Mark Thompson of Garden City's Travel Gallery at the Garden City Hotel for the AHRC Garden City Auxiliary Christmas luncheon.
The AHRC Garden City Auxiliary will sponsor its annual gala Christmas luncheon and fashion show this year on Monday, December 4, at the Garden City Hotel. This holiday tradition is the auxiliary's most successful fundraiser for children and adults with retardation, autism and other developmental disabilities.

Holiday excitement begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Terrace Room with select boutique shopping and cocktails followed at 12:30 p.m. by a luncheon in the grand ballroom. A fashion show hosted by professional fashion show producer, Darlene J. Camille, will introduce the newest fur creations of Barbatsuly Bros. of Garden City, and also, the high style fashions of Doncaster. In addition, the Garden City High School Choir conducted by Robert Ludwig, Garden City High School choir director and music teacher will sing the sounds of the season.

A top prize this year is the "I Love New York Weekend" for two, compliments of Garden City's Travel Gallery and the Golden Family. This weekend stay at an outstanding New York City hotel includes breakfast plus $500 donated by the Golden family in loving memory of Virginia Golden. An additional raffle, the Garden City Hotel "Classic," offers an exciting overnight stay for two at the Garden City Hotel featuring an American Breakfast plus a come-back-again-for-Sunday Brunch for two. Or, someone could win one of the very special prizes on the 57 Precious Gifts raffle.

All proceeds go directly to benefit the consumers served by AHRC. The event is expected to be a sell-out so make your reservations early. For information call Jane Horn at (516) 741-5466.
