Advertising, Sponsor Openings In Andy Cooney Program

Msgr. John's Knights once again will distribute a popular glossy Broadway theater- style program at Andy Cooney's "Classic Irish Christmas" concert to be held at 8 P.M. on Friday,

Dec. 1 at St. Anne's Mc Closkey Auditorium, Grand Knight Bob Guida and Oncert Chairman "Jay" Lynch have announced.

The handy Playbill size --5.5 " x 8.5"-- program will be distributed to a major audience expected to reach 800, including parishioners, guests and Cooney fans . The program has already attracted advertising from: banks, restaurants, supermarkets, realtors, jewelers, photograhers and a wide range of local merchants and services in the greater Garden City area.

Black-and-white (B&W) advertising is reasonably priced at $150 per page, $80 half-page and $50 quarter page.

One of the extra attractive program offerings is a "Sponsor" listing for $25 each. Subscribers use it to show their support of the Knights funding of high school scholarships and/or to memorialize family members and friends who have passed away. The names of program advertisers and sponsors will be featured in an attractive "Thank You!" posterboard in the "lobby" entrance to the concert in McCloskey Auditorium on the night of the show.. And advertisers will be offered, for in-store or window posting, free full-color concert posters noting their support of the Knights charity-oriented program.

The Knights--of Msgr. John C. Seidenschwang Council Knights of Columbus----have dedicated the show to the memory of the late Mgr. William F. Costello who passed away July 18 after a tragic roadside accident while on vacation in East Hampton. He had served his last eight years in active retiment at St. Anne's. His first assignment in a 54-year career in the clergy on Long Island coincidentally was at St. Joseph's Church, here. He was renowned for his engaging smile and keen sense of Irish with and humor.
