Girls Varsity Soccer In Playoffs

Maddie Mulvihill was the first to score as Garden City's girls varsity soccer team took on Mineola in a playoff game on October 27th at GCHS.
Although Mineola tied it up later in the half, Garden City scored again in the 61st minute as Kelly Donnelly scored after getting an assist from Brittany Wilton. Goalkeeper Alyssa Bachowski made 5 saves for Garden City.
Next, the team faced Wantagh on Tuesday, October 31st and thanks to a Kelly Donnelly goal from 20 yards out, Garden City won the game 1-0 and advances to the next round. You can see more game action photos at www.Newsphoto.com
