| By the time the Garden City Trojans triumphed over the Elmont Spartans at the Garden City High School Homecoming game on Saturday afternoon, the skies were blue and sunny-at least for a while. But heavy rain and wind earlier in the day forced the cancellation of the Homecoming Parade and the half time show. Still, the stands were full and the crowd was enthusiastic as the Trojans prevailed by a score of 14 to 7.
