"From Bach To The Beatles"

The Community Club of Garden City is delighted to present Rose Marie Guzzo, a classically trained musician in both violin and piano, on Thursday, November 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the Casino. Her topic, "From Bach to the Beatles," includes an analysis of the Beatles' most popular tunes with reference to J. S. Bach's techniques.

Ms. Guzzo, a resident of Garden City, received her Bachelor of Music Degree from Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart and a Master of Arts from Hunter College. Post graduate degrees were taken in Italy, Austria, and Japan and she received a Ford Foundation Grant for study in the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado.

A retired teacher from the New York City School system where she taught vocal and instrumental music for more than 30 years, she was nominated teacher of the year in District 25 of Queens in 1989. Come for a unique presentation and stay for refreshments.
