Elizabeth Y. Pixley

This Sunday, October 29 at 9:15 a.m., Elizabeth Y. Pixley will address the Adult Forum at the Garden City Community Church. Elizabeth Y. Pixley is a retired Professor of Biology at Monroe Community College, in Rochester, New York, where she taught from 1977-2005. She is a member of the Rochester Academy of Science and the Center for Environmental Information. She is an active member of the United Church of Christ and for the past several years has been convener of "Living in Harmony in God's World". In August of 2006 Ms. Pixley traveled to southern Africa as a member of a global mission trip. The focus of the trip was to learn our mission projects in the area of HIV/AIDS.

Ms. Pixley will speak on "Reducing Our Footprints on the Earth" at the Garden City Community Church.

The Community is invited to attend the forum in the church parlor. Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ. Worship Services are on Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., with church school for children and crib room for infants and toddlers at the later service.
