Parents, Teachers Collaborate On Blood Drive

Garden City School District parents and teachers will host the annual Garden City PTA / Garden City Teachers' Association Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the Garden City High School Gym.

Last year, 180 volunteers donated 190 pints of blood-a record for the event. "We'd like to break that record this year," said PTA member Judy Keenan, who is coordinating the event for the second consecutive year.

Adults and students 16 years of age and older are invited to donate (16-year-olds need permission from a parent or legal guardian). Snacks and a healthy lunch will be provided for all donors. No appointment is necessary, but if you wish to schedule a time to make a donation, contact Judy Keenan (747-3554).
